If you are filling out your fall calendar don’t forget to make time for the Pictou County Walk To Cure Juvenile Diabetes!

Crystal MacKinnon-Murray has seen first hand how research is changing the lives of people living with Diabetes. Her son was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes seven years ago at the age of three. “When our son was diagnosed we were told about these great treatments for Diabetes that would likely be available by the time he was a teenager. Most of these proposed therapies became realities much faster than anticipated. While Diabetes is still a challenge in his life every day, physically and emotionally, the knowledge and the tools to manage this disease are becoming more sophisticated and that is thanks to the research that results from the dollars we raise right here in our own community.”
